Township trustees and fiscal officers serve four-year terms and are elected on a nonpartisan ballot in the November election. All Trustees and Fiscal Officer must be residents of Monroe Township.
Townships are grassroots, statutory governments that perform many of the basic services of local government. Our services include road maintenance and repair; police and fire protection; emergency response; maintaining parks and cemeteries; zoning; and more.
The Monroe Township Trustees meet twice a month at the Township House located at 12452 St Rt 316 W, Williamsport, OH 43164.

Building Rental
The Monroe Township Building is available for event and small group meeting rentals. Our ADA compliant facilities are complete with a full kitchen, folding tables and chairs, restrooms, updated HVAC and a generator.
We ask that all individuals renting the building fill out a rental agreement.
We offer discounted rates for township residents but welcome all renters!
